Das Video "Yoü And I" überzeugt im Gegensatz zum letzten Clip wieder auf voller Linie mit der gewohnten gagaesken Reizüberflutung. Kaum zu glauben, dass "Born This Way" erst ein paar Monate draußen ist und die Queen Of Pop des digitalen Zeitalters nun schon ihr 4. Video daraus abgedreht hat. Diesmal erwarten uns eine Lady Gaga auf dem Weg nach Nebraska, Lady Gaga als Bob Dylan und später auch als Meerjungfrau, ein Maisfeld, etwas Horrorfeeling und ganz nebenbei auch noch eine nicht allzu dezente "We will rock you"-Anleihe im Song... Hut ab, tolles Video!

Video: Lady Gaga - The Edge Of Glory

Da fällt mir nur ein "Wow!", aber das nicht eher im positiven Sinne sondern im negativen. Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass ich jemals ein Video von Lady Gaga vorskippen würde, aber genau das tat ich beim neuen Video zu "The Edge Of Glory", denn es langweilt auf eine Weise. Permanente Reizüberflutung wie bei "Judas" oder "Telephone" sucht man hier vergebens, dafür findet man eine zu einem schrecklichen Song durch ein offensichtliches Studiogelände tanzende Lady Gaga. In diesem Fall können die Bilder, im Gegensatz zu sonst, nicht mehr über den Track und dessen grauenhaftes Saxophon-Solo hinwegtrösten, da für ein Pop-Video vergleichsweise wenig Register gezogen werden. An dieser Stelle fragt man sich auch, warum man diesen Song als nächste Single gewählt hat, wo "Born This Way" doch etwas mehr zu bieten hat. Irgendwie schade.

Video: Lady Gaga - Judas

Wer genervt ist von "Dieses Video ist in deinem Land nicht verfügbar" dem sei hier das neue Video zur zweiten Single "Judas" aus dem am 23.Mai erscheinenden Album "Born This Way" ans Herz gelegt. Während die Lyrics von "Judas" starke Bilder hervorrufen driftet der Song, fast wie jeder Lady Gaga Song, pünktlich zum Chorus in den Kitsch und in diesem Falle sogar in den Schlager ab. Die Strophen und der C-Part sind sehr stark und sicher ist auch trotz Refrain, dass das definitiv ein neuer Ohrwurm wird. Wie immer zum Release eines neuen Lady Gaga Clips, darf man sich auch dieses Mal berechtigerweise über ein absolut ausdrucksstarkes Video (diesmal zum Thema Vergebung) freuen.

Gegenüber MSN äußerte sich Lady Gaga zum Video:

"How will that metaphor play out in the music video?
Well the video, in essence, suggests that [pauses] forgiveness and betrayal are hand in hand and that... how do I say this? The video puts destiny above all things and postures that the mistakes in your life are in fact not mistakes at all, they are just part of your overarching potential and your destiny.

What's the concept?
Well, I want to allow the video to speak for itself but I will say that the theme of the video and the way that I wanted to aesthetically portray the story was as a motorcycle Fellini movie where the apostles are revolutionaries in a modern-day Jerusalem. And I play Mary Magdalene leading them into the town where we meet Jesus and I will leave the rest for you to see. But it's meant more to celebrate faith than it is to challenge it."
